Call for Contributions for the PhD Forum

Call for contributions to PhD Forum

FPL 2019 will include a session dedicated to presentations by PhD students. We are searching for presentations of both work-in-progress, and broad overviews of the PhD thesis development. The PhD Forum is an excellent place for you to show your work, receive feedback, and be provided with possibilities for further development, new directions, etc. It is also a very good opportunity to interact with the academic and industrial communities around FPL.

PhD Forum authors are invited to submit 2-page papers, using the same format as the FPL papers (link), before the deadline of April 26th, 2019. Contributions must be submitted electronically in PDF format. FPL 2019 uses a double-blind reviewing system. Manuscripts must not identify authors or their affiliations; those that do will not be considered for review.

PhD Forum papers should include clear descriptions of the PhD motivation, objectives, problem definition, addressed solutions, current status, and planned work if applicable. Contributions based on preliminary results or work in progress are particularly encouraged. Accepted PhD Forum papers will be included in the conference proceedings, and presented at a special poster session. Prior to this session, presenters will be offered the opportunity to draw attention to their posters through an “elevator pitch” (2-minute presentation).

Please use the Easychair website to submit your PhD Forum contribution.
